A permanent fixture, a dental implant replaces both the tooth and the root.
Dental implants are ideal for people who have a missing tooth or missing teeth, (perhaps due to an accident), but are in good general oral health.
Dental implants are versatile, strong and natural looking. We offer dental implants that can be used to replace one tooth, a number of teeth, and be used to securely anchor a full denture in place.
Treatment begins with a detailed, 3D CT scan taken with our state-of-the-art CT Scanner. These detailed images of your teeth, mouth and jaw are essential to a successful outcome. These images allow us to see your jawbone, evaluate the density of the jawbone and precisely plan the optimal position of the implants.
With this information, we will surgically place the titanium post (for a single tooth implant) or numerous posts (for multiple teeth or implant-retained dentures) into your jawbone. These posts serve as the tooth root. Once the surgical sites have healed and the surrounding tissues and gums have adhered to the roots, we will create a ceramic “tooth” or teeth to be permanently seated. Each tooth will be custom made to fit perfectly on the root and in your smile.
Your dental implants will look, feel and function just like your natural teeth. They don’t require any special care, you just brush and floss!
